6/30/2001: Our friend Ellie decided to celebrate her birthday in style this year by having her friends paint her garage door. We arrived to find she'd bought 6 colors of paint, color-matched as close as possible to nearby vegetation: the colors were yellow, black, red, pink, maroon & green. She and Eddie had also masked off the walls around the garage door, provided a plastic drop cloth on the ground, and Eddie had given the door a good coat of white paint so we had a pristine canvas on which to create.
Ellie, being Ellie, didn't just let us go for it at first. We all drew for our colors and implements. Each paper out of the hat indicated a color and an implement. The (high) rollers went first, then the brushers, then the spongers, and finally the messy splatterers. After that it totally degenerated into a free for all, but while it was organized, assignments were thus:
| Tool | Who | Color |
| Roller |
Damian
OP Eddie Bill Alan Wendy |
Black
Yellow Red Green Maroon Pink |
The rollers were given about 5 minutes, then came the brushers:
| Tool | Who | Color |
| Brush |
Jean
Gale Janet |
Pink
Red Green |
| Tool | Who | Color |
| Sponge |
Eve Eddie Bruce Wendy Bill |
Yellow
Black Green Red Pink |
Finally the troubles began with the splatterers:
| Tool | Who | Color |
| Splatterer |
Ellie B. Gale Bruce Alan |
Red
Yellow Pink Green |
