11/05/02 from Dizzy, a JRT belonging to Dad's dad.
Hi Kelsey,
Welcome aboard and thank you for your modelling pix; we think you are pretty handsome (Frances especially admires your brown spot) and those long legs would have been much appreciated by Parson Jack Russell as equipping you very well for the serious business of keeping up with the hounds across country; I hope you will be able to keep your trainer's endorphines at bay.. And we were delighted to hear you are interested in squirrels; Lupin, your first cousin once removed, caught one today. I think you should try to curb the habit of drinking shower water etc. It's true that the late Aga Khan used to make his bath water available for his followers to drink, but I believe they had to pay for the privilege and I can't see your present minders going down that road. Anyway good luck in your new home and let me know if you have any complaints.
I shall be 16 on December 27 and am beginning to get a bit crotchety. To hell with the chase; all I think about is FOOD
Best wishes Dizzy xx(or possibly grrrrrrrrrr)

Dear Kelsey
I think Oliver walks too fast too. If you care to look at some of the photos I took in Yosemite in July, you will see the standard walking format was Oliver and Andy out ahead, Eve and Phyllida a bit behind them and then me at the back. I too like to stop and look at things, although I have to say I don't get much out of sniffing. Anyway, I look forward to your company at the back of the party when I next come over for a walking holiday. The good thing is that they do eventually stop and let you catch up.

Dear Mom and Dad,
Boy I miss you but do not worry, Uncle B is doing just fine. We had a very exciting weekend. Saturday we went on a car ride and then I spent the rest of the day running around some huge castle building. There was this British bloke that kept saying weird stuff but played with me anyway. The Canadian guy was extra good to me and petted my stomach all day long. The two young guys in the garage part in back kept slipping part of their burgers. I like them. There sure are a lot of tall black metal things out there.
We started off Sunday just right. Uncle B wanted to sleep in but I would had none of that. I licked his face around 8 am and the next thing I knew, we were in his bouncy truck off for a hike. We flew up mount cahuenga for fantastic views. It rained on and off most of Saturday so it was extra clear. We could even see Catalina Island. While he wasn't looking, I rubbed myself is some other dog's poo. Boy it felt good and smelled even better but Uncle B got me back. When we got in the shower after the hike, he shut the door and scrubbed all the poo out of me. Boy I was mad but I guess its better than rubbing it all over the carpets. He left me at home for a couple of hours--he said something about visiting his mom. I think she is doing much better but she's still in lots of pain.
Dad, be nice to Mom. Be a good follower. Be like me. I like following you up the hill.
Come home soon!
Love,
Kelsey.
