  • Radio Engineer. Included 14 weeks of residential training at BBC training center in Evesham, UK learning studio operation, audio, magnetic tape, digital and analog signal distribution and RF transmission fundamentals.
    Work included radio studio installation, maintenance and commissioning. Some outside broadcast work (Commonwealth Games, Edinburgh 1986)

    Teletape Video Ltd, London, UK (1987-88)

  • Service Department Manager responsible for a staff of 6 performing maintenance and repair of professional video equipment (U-matic low & hi-band and betacam VTRs, edit suites, monitors, cameras etc)

    Electrosonic Systems Ltd, Dartford, UK (1988-92)

  • Project Engineer in Systems Engineering Division. Projects included architectural lighting, boardroom AV systems, museum AV displays in the UK and across Europe. Typical project responsibilities include: financial & contract management, system design, facility impact, equipment procurement, overseeing shop construction and test, overseeing site installation, system alignment and show programming, commissioning and as-built documentation. Final and largest project was the Area Public Address and Background Music system for the Magic Kingdom at Disneyland Paris.

    Electrosonic Systems Inc, Minneapolis, MN (1992-94)

  • Systems Engineering Manager responsible for all aspects of Systems Engineering, shop fabrication, drafting and installation. Projects completed include AV systems at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and at the American Museum of Natural History.

  • Project Manager specifically in the museum, themed entertainment and themed retail markets. Notable projects include:
  • Video transfer facilities for the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, Universal Studios, Los Angeles, CA.

  • Interactive MPEG2 video system for the "Point of View Diner" at the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Los Angeles.
